Privacy Policy
Version 0.1 / Effective 2026-04-14
Last Updated: April 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Dol Labs ("we," "our," or "us") handles information in connection with your use of the Dol experimental interface (the "Site") on the Base Sepolia testnet. This is a test phase for a technical product. We collect very little about you, but what happens on a blockchain is forever public.
By accessing the Site, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. Scope of This Policy
This policy applies to information collected through your interaction with the dol.app website and interface. It does not apply to:
- Information that is permanently recorded on the Base Sepolia blockchain or any other public blockchain, which is immutable and accessible to anyone.
- The practices of third-party services like wallet providers, blockchain networks, or decentralized exchanges, which have their own privacy policies.
- Any off-chain activities not initiated through our Site.
2. Data We Collect
We collect minimal information necessary to operate the Site and enforce our geographic access rules.
A. Information You Provide Directly:
- Wallet Connection Data: When you connect a digital wallet (e.g., via Privy), we receive your public wallet address. This is public information you broadcast to the blockchain.
- Optional Waitlist Email: If you choose to sign up for future updates on the
/unavailablepage, you may provide an email address. This is stored separately and is not linked to your on-chain activity.
B. Information Collected Automatically:
- Technical & Log Data: When you visit the Site, our hosting providers (e.g., Vercel, Cloudflare) automatically collect certain information such as your IP address, browser type, and device identifiers. We use this primarily to enforce geographic access controls (e.g., to block access from the United States, EU, UK, and other restricted jurisdictions).
- Local Storage: We use your browser's local storage to remember functional preferences, such as your acceptance of our Terms of Service, the first-visit geographic attestation gate, and the state of any pending withdrawal requests. You can clear this data at any time via your browser settings.
- Session Data: We use Privy to manage your wallet connection session.
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
We deliberately avoid collecting sensitive personal data. We do NOT collect:
- Your name, physical address, or telephone number.
- Government-issued identification (KYC data) or biometric data.
- Your off-chain financial history or credit information.
- Data from third-party trackers. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any advertising or tracking pixels.
4. How We Use Your Data
We use the limited data we collect for specific, limited purposes:
- To Provide and Maintain the Service: To facilitate your interaction with the Dol protocol, including processing deposits and withdrawals.
- To Enforce Access Controls: To block access from jurisdictions where Dol is not permitted to operate (see our Terms of Service).
- To Ensure Security & Prevent Abuse: To monitor for fraudulent activity, spam, or attacks on the Site.
- To Communicate (if requested): To send you updates if you voluntarily signed up for our waitlist.
- For Internal Analysis: We may use aggregated, anonymized data to understand how the Site is used and to improve it. Any internal operational tools (including AI-based agents that process aggregated operational data) do not receive your personal information.
5. Third-Party Services
We rely on a few essential third-party services to operate. They have their own privacy practices:
- Privy: Manages wallet connection sessions. See Privy's Privacy Policy at privy.io.
- Vercel / Cloudflare: Provides hosting, infrastructure, and edge-based geographic filtering. See their respective Privacy Policies.
- Blockchain Networks & RPC Providers: Your interactions are broadcast to the public Base Sepolia network via RPC providers. Blockchain data is public and does not constitute personally identifiable information we collect.
- Pacifica DEX: The underlying protocol where strategy execution occurs. On-chain interactions with Pacifica are public.
6. Blockchain Immutability & Transparency — A Critical Notice
This is the most important section of this policy.
Dol is an on-chain product. When you interact with it, you are executing transactions on the Base Sepolia blockchain, which is a public and permanent ledger.
- Permanent Record: Your wallet address, transaction amounts, timestamps, and all other transaction details are recorded on-chain forever. They cannot be altered, hidden, or deleted by us or anyone else.
- Public Visibility: Anyone in the world can view this data using a blockchain explorer.
- No Control: We have no control over, and cannot be responsible for, the privacy or security of data once it is recorded on the blockchain. You are transacting in a transparent environment by design.
7. Your Rights and Choices (Limited Scope)
Given our minimal data collection and the nature of blockchain, your rights are technically limited:
- Local Storage: You can delete data stored in your browser's local storage at any time via your browser settings.
- Waitlist Email: You can unsubscribe from waitlist emails using the link provided in those emails, or by contacting us.
- Access Choice: You can choose not to access the Site from a restricted jurisdiction.
We do not offer data portability, rectification, or erasure for on-chain data, as it is technologically impossible.
8. Data Retention
- On-Chain Data: Retained permanently on the blockchain, as explained above.
- Server Logs & IP Data: Retained only as long as necessary for security, operational, and legal compliance purposes (typically up to 90 days).
- Waitlist Emails: Retained until you unsubscribe or we discontinue the list.
9. Children's Privacy
The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you are under 18, do not use this Site. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete their information.
10. International Users and Jurisdictional Disclaimers
Phase 1 is explicitly restricted. The Site uses technical controls to block access from the United States, the European Union/EEA (all 27 member states), the United Kingdom, the Republic of Korea, Japan, China, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and all OFAC-sanctioned jurisdictions. The Site is available only to users physically located in Vietnam, Turkey, the Philippines, Mexico, or Argentina.
If You Bypass These Blocks: If you use a VPN, proxy, or other method to circumvent our geographic blocks, you do so at your own risk. You are solely responsible for determining whether your use is compliant with local law.
Non-Applicability of GDPR, CCPA, and Similar Frameworks: Because we technically block access from these regions and do not target our services there, we disclaim the application of the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the United Kingdom GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the Korean Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), and similar comprehensive privacy laws. If you are a resident of these blocked regions, our service is not intended for you.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. We will post the new policy on this page and update the "Effective Date." For material changes during Phase 1, we may display a banner on the Site. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, you can contact us at: legal@dol.app
Please note: Due to the experimental nature of Phase 1, response times may vary.
